Dimension the whole plan
in one command
That afternoon spent clicking wall after wall is over. AutoDimension dimensions the entire floor in your office standard and gives the time back to the part that pays: designing.
7 days free. Then US$ 14.90 per month on up to 2 computers. Cancel any time.
You design.
It dimensions.
For Revit 2025 and 2026, at US$ 14.90 a month.
The whole plan at once
What is an afternoon of clicking face by face becomes a single pass. Same plan, same dimension standard, without the manual labour in between.
References from geometry
The plugin reads the model and finds where a wall starts, ends and meets another. You select nothing, and it does not depend on you having clicked the exact point.
Your office standard
Pick the dimension type from the styles already in your project, the offset from the wall, and which side the line falls on. The sheet still looks like yours.
"Will I have to
check every dimension?"
No. Automation that forces you to review line by line saves nobody any time, and that was never the idea here.
You approve before it runs
The panel tells you how many walls will be dimensioned before it touches the file. Not what you expected? Ctrl+Z, like any other Revit command.
Only dimensions are added
No helper objects, hidden markers or extra families. Uninstall tomorrow and what is on the sheet is still a native Revit dimension.
The report says what happened
When it finishes you see how many dimensions were created and, if a wall was skipped, the exact reason. Nothing happens silently.
How it works
- Install in two minutes. Download the installer, close Revit and run it. The plugin appears on its own Nivela tab, with nothing to configure.
- Open the plan and run the command. On the view you want to document, click Dimension on the Nivela tab.
- Set the appearance. Choose the dimension type from your project's own styles, the offset from the wall, and which side the line goes. Values in millimetres, metres or inches.
- Check and apply. The plugin reports how many walls it will dimension before doing anything. If the number matches, apply.

Frequently asked
Is there a plugin to dimension a Revit floor plan automatically?
Yes. That is exactly what Nivela AutoDimension does: you open the plan, choose the scope, and it dimensions every wall at once instead of you picking reference after reference. The automatic dimensioning uses native Revit dimensions, in your project's own style, and a single Ctrl+Z undoes the whole run.
How do you dimension an entire floor plan at once in Revit?
Plain Revit has no command that dimensions a whole plan: aligned dimensions require picking each reference by hand. With AutoDimension you open the Nivela tab, click Dimension, check how many walls it found, and apply. The entire floor comes out dimensioned in one command.
Are the dimensions native Revit elements?
Yes. They are not detail lines or drawn geometry: they are real dimensions that follow the chosen dimension type and update when a wall moves, exactly like one you placed by hand. Uninstall the plugin tomorrow and what is on the sheet stays valid.
Which Revit versions are supported?
Revit 2025 and 2026, 64-bit, on Windows 10 or 11. Some of the geometry references the plugin relies on are not documented by Autodesk and were verified only on those versions, so enabling others without testing would risk silently wrong dimensions.
Can I choose the dimension style and the offset from the wall?
Yes. You pick the dimension type from the styles already in your project, the offset from the wall, and which side the dimension line falls on. Values can be typed in millimetres, metres or inches.
How does the free trial work?
Seven days with everything unlocked. The card is registered when the subscription starts and goes through a validity check of zero or a token amount, which is not a charge and reverses on its own within a few days. Some banks notify you anyway. The first charge only happens at the end of the trial; cancel before that and you pay nothing.
How many computers can I use it on?
Two devices on the same subscription, an office desktop and a laptop for example. The same licence key works on both, and you can swap a device from your account page at any time.
Does it work in 3D views?
No. AutoDimension works on floor plans. A dimension is a 2D view annotation, and Revit itself does not allow creating dimensions in a 3D view, with or without a plugin.
What it does not do yet
We would rather you knew before subscribing than found out afterwards.
Revit 2025 and 2026 only
Earlier versions are not supported. Part of the geometry the plugin reads is undocumented and was verified only on these two, and shipping the others untested would mean wrong dimensions with no warning.
Some reference modes are experimental
Dimensioning to the wall axis or to the core works in most cases, but at a corner between walls of different thickness the result can be inconsistent. Those options are flagged inside the plugin. Dimensioning to wall faces is the stable mode.
Grids are not included yet
The option exists in the interface, disabled. Today the plugin dimensions walls, openings and wall intersections.
Your next plan can come out
dimensioned today
Install it, open a real project and run it once. In a week you know whether it earns its place. If it does not, cancel and pay nothing.
